Retail Management Programme 

Our estate and lettings branches are fast paced and dynamic, our people are too!
The retail management programme accelerates graduates into a branch management role within two years. Formal training supports development throughout the programme but it is the real world experience in the branch that our graduates really learn from. 

What do we look for?

To be successful you need to think quickly on your feet and thrive in a fast paced and pressured environment. You will also need to be sales focused, target driven and flexible. Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work under pressure goes without saying.

What can you expect?

From your first day in the branch you will be given real responsibility and gain valuable experience working alongside some of the most talented teams in the industry. You will also complete short term placements with our support functions like finance, property management and administration to give you a comprehensive view of our business. These placements are in various locations across the country so you will need to be flexible and able to work away from home. Throughout the two year training and development programme, you'll attend a series of intensive classroom training sessions and be coached by some of the best property and business professionals in the industry.
Jasmin Rimmer joined our graduate management programme in 2014. Nine months later, Jasmin was promoted to Lettings Manager. Juggling a branch and programme commitments was very challenging, but the skills developed during this time have helped her to succeed.

Kate joined our Trainee Surveyor Programme in November 2013. Working alongside experienced Chartered Surveyor mentors, Kate combined practical residential surveying with classroom study and qualified as a RICS Regulated Surveyor in 2014, subsequently gaining Registered Valuer status. Kate undertakes survey and valuation work in Surrey and the Home Countries whilst supporting our surveying communications and social media team.

Graduate Chartered Surveyor Programme

A highly successful programme, designed to assist undergraduate degree holders with previous residential property experience towards a professional career as a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer. The programme provides enrolment into the Assessment of Professional Competence by way of a fast track pathway towards RICS assessment and award of AssocRICS designation, progressing onwards to MRICS designation.

What do we look for?

  • RICS surveying related degree holders at graduate (2.1 or above) or post graduate level. Non-cognate degree holders in a relevant field may be considered.
  • Eligibility for Assessment of Professional Competence enrolment.
  • Property related work based experience, preferably a minimum of three years.
  • Applicants who may have already undertaken some training, but in a more limited surveying environment, who are now wishing to extend this into other areas to meet RICS Assessment of Professional Competence requirements.
  • If you have a relevant qualification, hold a full, clean driving license, the right to work in the UK, an abundance of enthusiasm and drive to qualify as an RICS Regulated Chartered Surveyor, we'd like to hear from you.

What can you expect?

By combining a fully mentored on site learning programme supported by classroom directed training, we are able to offer everyone a focused, residential orientated curriculum aligned to industry and professional practice requirements. This typically allows individuals to become AssocRICS qualified within eight months of joining Countrywide Surveying Services, as a stepping stone towards Chartered Surveyor status once greater experience has been gained.
All trainees are enrolled as student members of the RICS, registered for Associate Membership, following the residential or valuation pathways.

Lambert Smith Hampton's (LSH) Graduate Programme
